Background

As part of an initiative by Linfox management, their professional staff were allocated six months to complete all courses in Leadership and Management area and customer relations and earn their certificate and credential. The Monash College design team was contracted to create and host the Linfox courses online.

To achieve this goal, Linfox needed a high-end SCORM module along with a course, created in an eLearning management system . SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model, which is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products. Moodle was selected as the eLearning management system acting as a gateway to the learning.

Approach

As the first step, the design team undertook an exploration phase for “look and feel” before establishing the graphic assets. Then we set up a production plan for recording educational videos and post-editing. These assets were used for the activities, learning materials and presentation slides that were uploaded to the Moodle platform as part of the SCORM module which is accessed by the facilitators.
